![]() I've installed the Microsoft Query program to try to use excel to attac and Query an external .mdf database. I'm using Data:Import External Data:New Database Query..... Then I can't seem to find an option for *.mdf files? I've learned that it is a Microsoft Query "Master Database File" Thanks for any help accessing this database -- midavi ----------------------------------------------------------------------- midavis's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=2747 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=46985 |

midavis,
According to http://filext.com/detaillist.php?ext...df&goButton=Go, ..mdf files are "SQL Server Master Database File". I guess if you do not have SQL server or the drivers installed, you would not see that option. NickHK "midavis" wrote in message ...
