Default background saves in Excel 2002.

Hi,
Is there any option in Microsoft Excel 2002, witch allows background saves
(as in Microsoft Word)?
If not, is it possible to write a macro to save automatically the active
workbook every laps of time?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for your response Sebastien,

The auto recover saves option in Save tab, if I am right, is useful only
after a power failure or if a similar problem occurs. I want to use a
background save to prevent other cases in normal circumstances, like when I
close, inadvertently, my workbook without saving.

Default background saves in Excel 2002.

I see.
There used to be an AutoSave addin (menu Tools Addins) which would add a
AutoSave sub-menu in the Tools menu. But i don't see this addin in
ToolsAddins anymore. I checked my MSOffice CD, nothing; then the Office
Update website Optional Addins... still nothing.

Just found the following...
From MS article id Article ID 288118
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;288118
Add-ins that are not included with Excel 2002 and Excel 2003.
"...no longer included with Microsoft Excel 2002. Additionally, they are not
available for download."
-- the AutoSave feature has been removed.

I haven't searched the web for a free Addin, but you should be able to find
a free one with this implementation.

Sébastien
