copy / paste
Hi all,
not sure if this is a programming question or not but... i copied (manually) a large range of data from one workbook to another (old version of the book to the new version) some of the cells had formulas that referenced another page in the old workbook. that page was also copied (manually again) now the formulas point to the other workbook. is there any (easy) way to remove the reference to the old workbook and just leave the formulas ie OLD WORKBOOK =Sheet1!$C$2 after copy - NEW WORKBOOK ='Z:\Storage\[Book1.xls]Sheet1'!$C$2 tia J |

Find and replace, Gixxer. Just tell it to "search in formulas". Find
"Sheet1!" and replace with "Z:\Storage..." ******************* ~Anne Troy www.OfficeArticles.com "Gixxer_J_97" wrote in message ... actually i wanted to remove the "Z:\Storage...",
and i didn't even think to use find/replace. it's a good thing that i didn't because the ranges weren't exactly the same (some columns moved over by 1 or 2 ended up writing a sub to take care of the truncation and adjusting the offsets. i'll keep that in mind for next time though! thanks!
