Default Custom Calendar Format

What I am wanting to do is create a custom calendar format. Like the
Gregorian you put b1 before the date format "b1dd/mm/yy" or the Hijri
"b2m/d/yyyy. I want to create a calendar format that relates to our
manufacutring schedule for instance the month of January is Jan1-Feb5.
So when I put the actual date in a cell it will give me our
manufacturing month and year.
Thanks for the help.
Bob
