Default message scroll bar in excel

Is it possible to create a message scroller in excel.
Say if one opens the workbook, one would see the update's messages scrolling
from right to left.
Any suggestions....

Why? The screen displays about 10 columns wide by about 30 rows upon open.
Plenty enough room to display your message. I was taught many years ago,
