Default "File Now Available" For a Read-Only File

Good afternoon everyone. My excel workbook is protected in that no one
can make read-write edits if I'm using the file.

If someone tries to access the excel workbook while I'm using it, then
they're given the option to open the excel workbook file as read-only.

While they're in the read-only excel workbook, I choose to close the
excel file.

Currently, they're getting a message called "File Now Available". This
message instructs the read-only user that the file is "now available
for editing". They're given the option of either moving to a read-write
environment or remaining in their read-only environment.

This notification message is annoying to those who open my file as
read-only, because they don't have any interest in making edits.

Is there a way for me to disable this "File Now Available" message so
other users of the file are not notified when I close out my excel
file?

Thank you for your time and attention.

Michael
