Default Excel - One column, multiple widths??

Is it possible to have a column with multiple widths? I haven't been
able to find a way to do it.

....you can find code out there that allows a filter box at the heading of a
column to expand/contract in width to accommodate the width of the
selection--that's the closest thing I can think of.
