Default List Box Resizing

I have a list box (Control Toolbox) on a worksheet. In the workbook open
event there is some basic code to add a number of items. Once this is
completed, the listbox resizes. The wierd thing is that it is not
consistent at all in how it resizes - even if the same items are included in
the list. Sometimes it seems to fit the widest entry; other times it makes
it so small I can hardly read any of the entries.

There must be a setting in the properties to control this behavior but I
sure cant find it.

Using Excel 2002.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks, Keith
