Default Autofit ?

I open a new default workbook, and set the columnwidth of col B in sheet1
and sheet2 to 55. I enable wraptext in col B for both sheets.
In sheet2.Range("B5"), I type (without quotes):
"This is a test to see what happens if I type just enough
to cause a cell to wrap"
and sure enough, the cell wraps. If I now edit the cell via the formula bar,
to leave the contents as:
"This is a test to see what happens if I type just enough
to cause"
and then exit the formula bar, then the cell autofits back to a rowheight of
12.75.

So, that's ok ........... but when I edit to leave:
"This is a test to see what happens if I type just enough
to cause a"
then it remains a rowheight of 25.5, despite the text appearing to occupy
just one line in the cell.......
and autofit doesn't correct this.

Is this a known issue?
If so, any 'solutions' please?

Regards.
