A critical workbook stopped showing its three worksheets...I just got the
workbook without any sheets showing. Amazingly, I could view the sheets
with Web Page Review. My solution wasn't pretty. I used Object Rexx's Office
Automation capablity bring up the offending workbook and then set each sheet
as current. I then used Copy/Move Sheet to export each sheet to a new
workbook.

Q1: Is the loss of seeing worksheets a know problem?
Q2: Can this type of problem be solved without going into VBA or Office
Automation?

They are prolly just hidden (perhaps a macro is pressent that hides the sheets!)

Open VB (Alt+F11)
Press Ctrl+R (to view Project explorer - may already be open!)
Select the sheet you want from the TREE in the Project explorer
Press F4 (to goto the property window)
Set the Visible property to 1 - xlSheetVisible

If need be, you can add a simple macro that shows all sheets when the book is opened...

In "ThisWorkbook" add the following...

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Sheet1.Visible = xlSheetVisible
Sheet2.Visible = xlSheetVisible
Sheet3.Visible = xlSheetVisible
End Sub

be sure to set the Sheet names correctly for your work book.

I don't think all the worksheets can be hidden; at least one has to be
visible.

This is true, but he does appear to have a problem.
I was gonna suggest he investigates via the immediate window - but just decided to offer a quick solution (ofcourse I'm
assuming the Visible property is false)
