Default conditional numeric formatting

I have a database of numbers which are pulled via formulas (using vlookup
based on user selects), into another sheet. I would like the formatting on
the results sheet to mirror the source data, which varies from F1, to P1 to
C1.

Conditional formatting only allows me to modify color, not the actual
numeric format. Is there a way to get the formatting to change based on the
format of the source numbers?
