Default Excel should stop promping for OK every 10 seconds

Every time I D/L data from a SQL server after a minute or so Excel starts
prompting for OK every 10 seconds with the following message "Microsoft
Office Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action".
As result I cannot work on anything else while Excel shifts the blame. It
will be more productive to post the advisory message once and instead of "OK"
have "Close" and not see the message again so the user can do other things
while the data are D\Led.
