Hi guys..

I cannot get ControlTips to display...

It happens on a specific PC and for a specific User, in ALL office
applications and in all versions. xl97,xlXP, xl2003, word 2003 etc. the
ControlTips just will not show.

On that same PC using the same application the ControlTips work
correctly for a newly created user account.

THUS i think there's a pesky setting in the registry somewhere
that's telling VBA to not show the tooltips.... or a CLSID is damaged.


Anyone know where to look?

hmm...

i've partially solved it by removing the .exd 's from the temp
directory, and re-registering FM20.dll

there's still a small problem. on my dual-monitor setup
the tooltips appear on the wrong monitor... ahum.
