tough date macro....help needed....
hello there ...
i need some help from some of the expert excel vba guys out there ... in column A ...from cell A1...i have 5 stock names.... A B C D E in column B i have allocations in %....say 15%....for the 5 stocks...each,.....so now...total alloc....is 75%....the remainng is kept as cash ...in cell A6...ie 25%..... as total has to be 100%.. now in column C ...i have call back dates..... 31st oct 2005 15th aug 2005 30th june 2005 31st oct 2005 31st dec 2005..... now in column D i have notice periods...... 15 days... 30 days... 45 days 30 days... 15 days.... now ...what i want to do thru the macro is as follows : in cell H1 ...i have todays date = today()... and cash as of now is 25%.... i want the macro to find out the first earliest call back date....and then redeem the corr stock.....taking into consideration the notice period.....state the notice period....in column E ....and then allocate that amount from column B....to cash.... so in the above ex.... IT is stock C.... with alloc....15%.. and notice period....45 days.... so.....if call back date....is 30 june...... 15 april.....stock C shud be called back.....as notice period is 45 days... and that 15 % ....shud be ...now added to cash......ie 25% + 15 % = 40%..... then the macro shud go n find the 2nd stock...3rd stock......4th stock and so on...... pls help me in this...as i am in gr8 need of such a tool.... ur help wlll be greatly appreciated... thanks sam |
