Is it possible to set some code to run a task at a particular time on a
particular day of the week? eg. Monday at 7am. if so does the spreadsheet
need to be open?

chris,

A thought, if you don't want to have the workbook open why not,
add that particular workbook to Windows Scheduled tasks for that time and
then include a workbook_open macro the the workbook object. Of course you
will need to have macro security on low to have autofunctioning, and if you
already have a workbook_open macro, you will need to compensate which way
you want it run.
