Make all menus fully open
Does anyone know how to set Excel 2003 and Windows XP so that all menus open
and expand completely on the first click? Myself and many other users would be grateful if someone could rescue us from this Microsoft "convenience". Thanks much in advance. |

Dear Quartz, Certainly one of the worst features Micro$oft ever came up with. Right-click on one of the toolbars in the top section of the Excel window and select Customize... Select the Options tab. You should see a checkbox that reads "Always show full menus". Make sure it is checked, and you should be good to go. Mark |

Make all menus fully open
Thanks Markos.
Please tell me you know how to do the same thing for Windows XP itself. If so could you please post that setting as well? Again thanks. In Windows 2000 it is
right click on a blank part of the task bar and select options. Uncheck use personalized menus. Assume it is similar for XP. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "quartz" wrote in message ... Thanks Markos. Make all menus fully open
Under XP is said in Help:
To turn on Personalized Menus 1.. Right-click the Start button, and then click Properties. 2.. On the Start Menu tab, click Classic Start menu, and then click Customize. 3.. Under Advanced Start menu options, select the Use personalized menus check box. So you would uncheck it to turn them off. I didn't see that option in my version, but it is on a company LAN, so maybe the option to configure this has been disabled. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Tom Ogilvy" wrote in message ...
