Default Unable to set the XValues property of the Series class

I originally created a VB 6 application that pulled data from an oracle database based on the users criteria, it then took that data and used it to create a report in Excel 97. Part of that report is a pivot table, and it took some thinking, but I finally got it all to work.

Since then, some of my users have upgraded to Excel 2000 and I'm now getting the error listed in the heading when it gets to the following line:
xlActiveChart.SeriesCollection(1).XValues = xlApp.Sheets(2).Range("c6")

Any ideas? If you need more information (which I'm sure you probably will), please let me know. This REALLY has me stumped!
