Hi,

I have a vb component which is generating an excel workbook using web query.
The workbook has multiple worksheets varying from 10 to 16. The component
then returns to asn asp page which opens excel in a browser.

The existing application is deployed on a windows 2000 and the excel report
takes a couple of minutes for generation for a 16 sheet report.

We ported the application to a windows 2003 server and the application has
been extremly slow ever since. It takes 10-15 minutes for an 8 worksheet
report to be generated. Does anyone know what might be missing here from one
server to another? Why has the performance degraded after the shift?


Any help / pointers would be really appreciated!
