Default created objects look different

I have just installed excel 2003, created controls, checkboxes, labels etc,
embedded in the worksheet appear different than in excell 2000, the same
exact code or worksheet, causes the controls to be formatted differently, eg
the text is much thinner, however whenver that control recieves focus in 2003
it takes on the exact appearance it had in 2000 but loses it when it loses
focus, any thoughts why this happens and how to correct?
