I really only know the basics about macros and can use it to retreive data in
a spreadsheet to consolidate it, however, I am now wanting to expand my knowledge a bit further and would like to learn about using macros to import data from external applications but don't know where to start? any help would be appreciated thanks |

Hi
firstly i'ld check out data / get external data and see if the options under here meet your needs. as basically importing data from external sources depends a lot on what the external source is and if there's a way of accessing it. Do these applications have a name? Is it SAP, Hyperion, Baan? Do they offer some kind of programmatic interface. Maube they only produce data as a text file. Please tell more about the applications that provide the data. /Fredrik |
