Default download solver add-in

I'm writing an application for Excel that would require users have Solver
installed on their computer. Can I provide a hyperlink to download the
add-in over the web? Many users may have lost their Office disk or may not
have it handy.

No, there is no way to download the free add-in that accompanies XL.
It has to be installed from the installation CD.

Well then, can I distribute the solver add-in with my program? Or, can
Solver be installed in any manner other than using an MS Office disk?

Assuming what you want to do is technically feasible (and I am
reasonably sure it is not as trivial as just copying the add-in file),
I would strongly urge you to check with your legal department or MS's
legal department about such distribution.
