Default Link Management

Hi!

According to KB Article Q328440 special rules determine how paths to linked
files are stored in Excel. Especially it describes when Absolute Links will
be replaced by Relative Links.
What i want is that Excel always uses Absolute Paths independent from the
type of path I specify (UNC or path with drive letter).
I wonder if there is a way to permanently switch off that replacement?

Thanks,
