reading database value into a cell
i don't think u can u need a databaseconnection (through odbc, ...) to access th database. You could use the function 'get external data' in the data menu. It gives you a wizard, follow the steps to access the database, you ca then make the query you need (i.e. select name from personsTable) an sent the result back to excel -- schuurke2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- schuurke28's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1581 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=27315 |
