creating array using name references
Hello
I am creating an Excel database which is pread across multiple folders (folderName), each containg multiple workbooks (wbName), each containing multiple worksheets (wsName). Something like CellValue = (folderName, wbName, wsName). Values(RowName or RowNumber, ColumnName). I create an array from the Excel worksheet using this stucture, manipulate the data, and store in the worksheets or display the data if required. I currently correlate all of these Names into Numbers, and then use the following structu Private Type StatsArray Dim folderNameNumber as Integer Dim wbNameNumber as Integer Dim wsNameNumber as Integer Dim Values as Variant End Type such that CellValue = StatsArray(folderNameNumber, wbNameNumber, wsNameNumber). Values( RowNumber, ColumnNumber) Question: Is there a way (using a function, or array or private type) such that I can create, read and write into using the Name references as shown above ie CellValue = (folderName, wbName, wsName). Values(RowName or RowNumber, ColumnName). Not a strong programmer. Thanks for any idead kurb |
