Default finding type

Hi all, i am trying to figure out a way to do the following with a
imported unix report containing over 100 pages:
look for specific information (lease type) found in the page header an
enter that next to each row of information containing the lease number.
not all rows contain lease numbers-some are page breaks with empty row
and some are page headers).
i cannot sort or filter since the specific information regarding th
"type" is only in the page header. Once i can get each type entere
next to the rows then i can sort by type. anyone have any idea
(anything would be helpful at this point)
