Default MID$ error in excel 2003

when using the mid$ command i get an error message that says cant find
project or library. I am running XP with office 2003. This VBA script works
fine on my win 2000 machine with excel 2000

Hi Andy,

In the VBE go to Tools | References and try unchecking any reference marked
as missing.
