I also just checked and there are now spaces in the filename or
worksheet name (either in reality of in the line of code looking for
them)

Toss in a couple of:

debug.print "**" & fstr & "**"
or even
msgbox "**" & fstr & "**"

to see if you get what you expect.

(I'm still thinking it was a typo in your variable names)
