Default F4 function key with macros

i have just upgraded from excel 5.0 to 2000 and used to
be able to use the f4 key to repeat a macro i had just
performed now it will only perform a tiny portion ( say
changing the colour a one cell when its supposed to
change to colour of 3 and perform other tasks as well)
can anyone help me. do i need to write a new macro to
repeat the ones i already have??? thanks

I cannot duplicate your problem. How about posting your macro?
