Is there a way to take an Access database and export records into a
excel spreadsheet..

You can either Export from Access to Excel or Import from Access to Excel.

With Access open FileExportFile TypeMS Excel.

Select all records or use query results and "Export All"

OR

With Excel open go to DataImport Data and follow your nose.

If you do not have Access loaded on the machine you are trying to do
this on have a look at www.waa-inc.com/accex, it is a small Excel
add-in to import tables and Queries into Excel worksheets without
having Access.
