I'm trying to change the value of a range of cell

eg:

would like cell range d2:d9 to be filled with 1's

weasel, here is one way, Range("D2:D9") = "1"

From a macro

Range("D2:D9").Value - 1

From the worksheet, select D2:D9, type 1 in D2, then press CTRL+ENTER.
