dumb question
Yes, but why not just do
Thisworkbook.Save You don't need saveas unless you are changing the filename (which apparently you are not). -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "ForSale " wrote in message ... and this will force the answer of 'yes' when it asks to save over an existing file? --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

dumb question
Actually, i am. i have one workbook that kind of acts like a template.
in it, the macro saves the workbook to save any changes that i've made then pastes from the clipboard, saves it as range("b2") which is th same 15 items everyday, so rather than making 15 new files everyday, just save over yesterdays as yesterdays are old hat by today. then i does lots of other stuff including e-mailing and closing the new save as file, then re-opening the template file. the only problem i've run into thus far was having to stop and push Ye on the save as existing file pop up, and of course having to run th same 15 files everyday. it's not hard, just takes a long time for al the saving and pasting. i don't guess there's a way to program VBA t run other applications that aren't microsoft programs -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
