vbCode to Link a picture to a user form rather than embed it

I am trying to use jpegs on a user form but excel converts it to
bitmap and significantly increases the size of my workbook. Is there
vb code that would work around this so that I can LINK the jpeg instea
of embed it onto the user form?

I greatly appreciate any suggestions or direction on this
