Default Independantly running code

Hi

I dont know if this is possible, but i have a few command
buttons on an excel sheet and would like to use the mouse
over to put a comment in the status bar to tell the user
what the buttons do. The after say 10 seconds i would
like the status bar to return to saying "Ready...." is
there a way of instigating a piece of code to run and
reset after 10 seconds without halting the other code?

TIA

Nath

I personally never have a use for it in excel but i have
in access. do a search on syscmd or sysmeter. I pluged
both into my excel help and got nothing but then i may not
have the correct library activated.
good luck.

Look at Chip Pearson's page on the Ontime method

http://www.cpearson.com/excel/ontime.htm

What he has is more than you need, but it should give you the idea.
