common dialog is something that you can put into Excel if
you have VB6 registered. It's coming up very plain, and I wanted detail. perhaps it can't be set. it's just a control in a form that has lots of properties, but perhaps that's not one of them. It doesn't seem to use the default preference of the user... if it did, that would be fine. -----Original Message----- I don't know about the common control but generally the type of file display is a user preference.
