It didn't work for me in xl2002, either. But maybe you could change a setting so that .xls files open in excel proper--not in MSIE. There's a setting in Windows that you can change. In win98, I can do this: Start Windows Explorer View|Folder Options File Types Tab scroll down to MS Excel Worksheet Select it click the edit button There's an option to "browse in same window". Uncheck it. That's where you can toggle the "confirm open after download", too. Then i selected the addin i.e. (Tools/Addin) "Analysis ToolPak" and "Analysis ToolPak - VBA". On doing this in tools menu i got an entry "Data Analysis". But to my surprise on selecting "Data Analysis", nothing happens. No dialog gets opened. But doing the same procedure in a standalone excel application successfully opens the Analysis dialog. Can anyone advise me as to how to get the Analysis ToolPak functionality invoked in excel opened in browser? Regards Rosh --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ -- Dave Peterson |
