I have an Excel Add-in (XLL) that was created in Visual C++ 6.0 and run
great in Excel on Windows 95/98/ME and XP machines. I have a person using it in Windows 2000 though and when they add it the add-in works fine. However, after they leave Excel and come back the program gives the message "This file is not in a recognizabl format". To use the add-in, the person has to Add it back in. This ha to be done everytime Excel is opened. I had this problem on a Windows XP machine and I copied the window dlls mfc42.dll and msvcrt.dll to the windows/system folder and i corrected it. I haven't had any luck with the Windows 2000 machin though. Has anyone had this problem? Any fix for it??? Thank you! jen -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
