Default Searching for cell and comparing different workbooks

I was given an assignment by my boss to search through differen
workbooks (that we have saved to a disk) and find the biggest deposi
(amount in cell L35) for the month of August. We have floppy disk
with deposits saved by day. Is there a formula or any solution fo
doing this faster than having to pull up each day and look at th
amounts?

Thanks for any replies
