I am getting an error message, "The macro '!fOptionDlg'cannot be found.",
when I press Ctrl-S. Where can I find what's causing this issue? I have restarted Excel and during it's time, pressed the Shift Key to disable macros and I still get this error. The macro dialog box doesn't show any macros in it, so that throws out the idea of looking at a macro's shortcut keyboard method that way. -- Ronald R. try starting excel in safe mode
in the start=run textbox put in excel.exe /s click OK If you don't have the problem, then it is probably caused by an addin (tools=Addins) or a file in your xlstart directory or your alternate startup directory. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Ronald Dodge" wrote in message ... Narrowed it down to an Add-in program as I suspected due to using the "What
changed?" rule and emailed the support about the issue. -- Ronald R. Record a macro and give it the same short cut Ctrl-S, select a cell then stop recording. Save the wb and run the macro with the
shortcut keys. Hopefully this will run the procedure. (you may need to select another cell first) Alt + F11 and delete the macro you just recorded. Now see if Control + S will work as it should.
