Say I open a text file with the Workbooks.OpenText function into a worksheet called textImport. Then in that same workbook I have a sheet called sheet1. Can I close the textImport sheet? Or do I just have to keep switching off between worksheets? How do I do that? The reason I ask is because I have a template on sheet 1 and I only need the text file import to read data from the text file into arrays then I need to take the information from the arrays and put it into the template sheet therefore I don't need the textImport sheet. Any advise or help will be appreciated.

Daniel,
If you don't need it anymore, why not just delete it after you code. for instance Application.DisplayAlerts = False Worksheets("textImport").Delete Application.Display = True -- HTH Bob Phillips ... looking out across Poole Harbour to the Purbecks (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Daniel Brown" wrote in message ... Once you copy the data, you can close the sheet.
