Ii need to keep track of an SQL statement progress, How can i make sure
is completed before i continue with the rest of my code?

Rudolpsh,

Assuming you're using ADO...

You could set your SQL to execute synchronously.

Or you could follow this MSKB article about how to use asynchronous
execution:
