Default Formatting to Percent using Excel Object Model

I'm using Visual Basic 6.0 and the Excel Object Model to build a
spreadsheet based on some data from a ADO recordset. I have built my
columns and placed my data in the spreadsheet and even built some
calculations based on that data.

The problem I'm having is getting the columns that should represent
percentages to display in percentages.

For example I have the number 1.24 in cell A1 and I want it to display
124% when displayed in the cell from within excel.

I have been to several sites and reviewed a couple books.....

I'm either blind or this is a ancient chinese secret....

Thanks for the help in advance.
