Lost toolbar
OK, I learned the lesson the hard way. Now that I've re-created a lost custom tool bar, is there any way to save a back up copy so if/when it disapears I can get it back without having to re-create all the buttons & assign them again?

Eric,
Search for a file with an xlb extension. Its exact name and location will depend on your version of Excel and Windows. This file is where customized menus and command bars are stored. Save a copy of this file to a safe location. If need be, you can open this file directly in Excel to restore your command bars. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "Eric S" wrote in message ... Thank You! Now I don't feel so nervous playing with things I don't quite understand yet. Life is safer with a safety net.
