controls and macros
Cecilia,
If you use controls toolbox buttons, you don't assign a macro to it, you use its click event. To do this, in design mode (the blue triangle in the toolbar) double-click the button and this takes you to the code input screen. -- HTH Bob Phillips ... looking out across Poole Harbour to the Purbecks (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "cecilia12345" wrote in message ... i want to asign a macro to a button (commmand button) and i drew one using the controls toolbox. anyways, this is not working for me, aparently i should do it in a different way but how? i`ve been reading that there are too kinds of buttons but i think im using the wrong ones.... --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

Sounds like you are using the controls toolbox rather than the forms
toolbox. The controls version will allow you to create a sub linked to the control. If you have a pre-existing macro you want to link, use the forms toolbox, then right click on the button and assign a macro.
