Default Stopping event during opening and saving

I'm working on a spreadsheet with lots of hiding of rows
and a few tables. When I save my file it recalculates the
worksheet 50 times. (same as cells using table function).
The same happens if the calculation method is set to
automatic when the spreadsheet opens. I cant set
calculations to manual as this makes everything
unworkable. The worksheet is set to run at semiautomatic
and works perfectly in 97, 2000, xp and 2003 except for
the opening and saving feature.

Any suggestions?

Another interesting fact it takes the sheet 0.22 sec to
recalc using Excel97 and Win 98 but 0.42 using Excel XP
and Win XP Pro, using the same computer.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Urban
