Capturing the Update Links Property

Is there any way to capture the user's response to Excels dialogue of Update Links? Do you mean whether the user chose to update links or not while opening the workbook? I don't think so. In Excel 2002 and later you can control (via Edit / Links / Startup) what happens to links on opening the workbook, and the user need not be given the choice.
