Default Spreadsheet 'Tours'

Greetings,
Any help would be greatly appreciated
This is not strictly under this newsgroup, however I'm
struggling here and I know you will be able to help.
I have been using ancient software 'Lotus ScreenCam' to
produce tutorials for some of my spreadsheets with
excellent results. ScrenCam is screen capture software
that plays back as a movie of the computer screen. You can
add voice or anotate with text comments. Trouble is, we
are changing over from Windows NT to XP and ScreenCam does
not run on XP. Do any of you guys use anything similar
that you could suggest? Failing that could you please
direct me to a more appropriate newsgroup?
Thanks again

Alternatively, I've tried :

with success, plus it's free to download.

David,
We use RoboDemo made by eHelp. It's not free but effective and easy to
use.

On the topic ....

I have tried each of the referenced products for screen captures. My Help
document will be an Excel app using lots of hyperlinks.

The problem I have found is that ANY screen capture seems to lose resolution
if its final image is not 100% of the size of the original capture. Scaling
of any kind seems to cause loss of resolution.

Has anyone solved this ?? Or is there some underlying limitation in screen
resolution, etc.?

i might be talking nonsense here, but i thnk you are always going to have
that problem, as screen-grabs are unlikely to make 'vector' type graphics
which can be scaled up and down without losing resolution (you *might* be
able to load it into a graphics program which would detect edges in the
images and convert tehm to vectors)... maybe you could increase your screen
resolution, so the grab takes in more pixels? but that could be COMPLETELY
wrong!
