Default Coding a button or hyperlink to insert a predfined row

I am trying to create a button or hyperlink that when pushed will parse the workbook to detect the last row with data then insert a predefine row below it. I would like to possibley extend this to read a cell to determine the number of rows to insert. I am new to vbs. I have had expereince with Javascript, PHP, Actionscript. Any help would be much apreciate as I am currently at a loss. Also any site or books that would be helpfull for learning this stuff.

Thanks

neal
