The simplest combobox looking thing is created via Data|Validation.

Trouble (i feel i know you well)

Right click on the menu bar and a list of toolboxes is shown, check the
visual basic one and you will have access to the control toolbox, looks like
a hammer with a spanner x'd
the combobox is on the toolbox toolbar, hover over the icons to see which is
which.
just selct and draw where you want the commandBox.
right click the combobox to give the properties, scroll down the properties
to LinkedCell and you can have it linked to that cell, or use the
listfillRange to specify a list to populate the combobox.
