Protecting merged cells
Is there any way to protect merged cells on a worksheet?
I have an application that contains protected and unprotected cells. The unprotected cells allow users to enter data. If a protected cell is copied to a merged protected cell, the protection warning appears, which is what I expected. The problem is copying an unprotected cell to what I believe to be protected merged cells (locked and hidden). This overwrites the merged cell. I have shut off the users ability to cut and paste but want to leave the user the ability to copy. Is there any way I can do this and protect the merged cells from being over written? Thanks, Lee |
