Default References not staying checked

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have added a couple of references by checking them under the Tools
References but they aren't staying checked.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening (Excel 97 SR2)?

p.s.
OE isn't working just right today so please Cc: me on your reply

Thanks...

Hi,

references are workbook specific. Maybe you "lose" the references because
they are in another workbook.
